TUESDAY - 29 ACROSS: DESK FAIRY
At some point during the early summer it all became abundantly clear. My problem was not that I was an inherently lazy and disorganized person. The problem was simply that I didn’t have a desk.
MONDAY - THE RE-EDUCATION OF JON PITTS-WILEY: THE MAN-MAN CHRONICLES
The Pitts-Wiley residence. A biodegradable diaper liner. Stuck in the toilet. Not biodegrading.
FRIDAY - MAKING ROUNDS: GUNNER-ED DOWN
Gunners aim for the top grades, residencies, best-looking cupcake on the plate, whatever. God help you should you be standing in their way—these med students will cut you down without flinching to get what they want.
THURSDAY - KNOCKED OFF BALANCE: BLINK OF AN EYE

MONDAY - THE RE-EDUCATION OF JON PITTS-WILEY: RINGING ENDORSEMENT
For a guy who was whatever about wedding rings, I flipped like I was turning State’s evidence.
THURSDAY - KNOCKED OFF BALANCE: ROLE MODELS
In talking with my mentor and others like her, I realized that not having a strong model to copy has actually freed me to consciously select how I want to go about building my family rather than simply recreating what I experienced or just avoiding what was negative or harmful.
WEDNESDAY - LETTER FROM AFGHANISTAN: THE PERSPECTIVE FROM HERE
As an officer I am bound by my position to never express a political opinion outside that of the US Army's public affairs message. But, given my anonymity on this blog, I am free to express a few thoughts I have been having.
